Description:

After landing in Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will drive 40 km to the capital, Windhoek. Check into your hotel and rest your jet-lagged legs. A city or township tour in the afternoon is a good introduction to Namibia and its history and people.

Travel your way southwards between the sea and the dunes to Walvis Bay. Walvis Bay Lagoon is a birder’s paradise where vast number of flamingos foraging for food in the shallows. Sandwich Harbour is your next stop where sand dunes run straight into the ocean, creating breath-taking sceneries and unique landscapes, just waiting to be discovered!

Just outside Walvis Bay is Dune 7, the highest sand mass in the area. Drive through the Namib-Naukluft Park between the red high dunes to Sossusvlei, entering the park at Sesriem. Take a walk up and over the high dunes to visit Dead Vlei, a ghostly pan of cracked white clay featuring ancient skeletons of camel-thorn trees.
